Mo.C.A. – Montecatini Terme Contemporary Art is hosting the exhibition Galileo Chini – Works in the Public and Private Collections of Montecatini Terme, dedicated to the master of Tuscan Art Nouveau.
The figure of Galileo Chini is central to the city’s 20th-century cultural history. So many buildings have been embellished by his works that it is no coincidence that he was chosen as the main collaborator for the interior decoration of the Palazzo Comunale, around 1913.
The exhibition investigates the existing relationship between the city and Chini’s works: inside the rooms decorated by the master are his works belonging to public and private city collections, proving the bond between Montecatini, the people of Montecatini and the artist.
The event is one of the initiatives organized to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth.
It will be possible to visit the exhibition until January 7, 2024.
Free admission.
